The Philosopher has a firm structure with slightly gripping tannins and nice acidity. Complex with blackberry, blueberry, hints coffee and dark chocolate, toast, smoke, hint cookie dough and vanilla. Made by Chris Sparkman for sister. Deep dark purple in color and nearly opaque.

The Conqueror – 2011 Merlot
This Merlot blend boasts a bright red color. Pretty nose of plum and violets from the Merlot grapes, hints of smoke from the Syrah, and a touch of spicy herbs from the Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is lush and silky smooth, showing lots of fresh juicy fruits. Red and black cherry, raspberry, huckleberry jam, with a mocha finish.
